Pamela M. Junior

A former resident of the Marcy Houses, Pamela learned at a very early age the importance of community involvement. She realized her political interest when Jesse Jackson was running for the Presidency of the United States in the late 1980's and volunteered her services at Jesse Jackson's Bedford Stuyvesant-based campaign headquarters. In the early l990's, Pamela became actively involved in Bedford Stuyvesant community affairs and began attending monthly community meetings at her local precinct and community board. These opportunities provided her with first-hand experience and knowledge of the needs of the community and the needs of the youth in the community. Realizing these interests, Pamela has vigorously advocated for the development of quality affordable housing, senior housing and safe housing for survivors of domestic violence in the community. Pamela is quick to assist when there is a need both physically and financially.  Through her corporate sponsor, Pamela reached out to the Bedford Stuyvesant, Oceanhill-Brownsville, ENY and Harlem communities and provided Christmas gifts to over 250 children each year from 2005-2020.

For her community involvement, Pamela is the recipient of a Congressional Record from the Honorable Congressman Edolphus Towns. Pamela has received a bevy of awards, accolades, recommendations, commendations and proclamations from various institutions and honorable individuals. In 2007, Pamela was honored by District Attorney Charles J.
